Dear Families,

Greetings! I am a passionate teacher looking forward to spending each day exploring the world of learning wiith your child.  My goal for all children is to create a loving and nurturing environment where they can learn and be successful-spiritually, academically, socially and emotionally.   I believe in order to effectively teach my students, I must first know as much about them as possible. I so look forward to getting to know your child and you!
I also believe that each student needs to take an active role in their learning and be set to high expectations. My lessons are child centered with me guiding the learning. My goal is to have them meet and exceed academic benchmarks but MORE importantly leaving my classroom with a strong love for learning!
A little bit about myself, I have been teaching for thirteen years mainly in kindergarten and first grade. I graduated from Eastern Washington University with a reading major and math minor and have a passion for teaching children to read. My husband and I have twin daughters that are twenty years old and going to WSU. When Im not enjoying teaching and preparing fun lessons, I enjoy time with my husband, cooking. hiking and time reading God's word and other books.
