Welcome to 4th Grade!

I am so grateful that the Lord has allowed me the opportunity to teach this year. I am so excited to get to know each of your wonderful students. We will have a great year full of learning and spiritual growth.

Weekly Homework:

• Unfinished assignments 

• Spelling words (write 3x each, turn in of thursday)

• Weekly math homework (due on Fridays)

• Studying for upcoming tests and quizzes 

Spelling tests:

• Thursday 

• Friday: retest

In class we will use a money management system. Students will work to earn money by completing their classroom job, showing God’s grace towards others, turning in homework, remaining on task, etc. In turn students will have to pay fines if they are talking when they are not supposed to be, missing assignments/homework, not being kind to others, ect. Each week students will be tasked on Monday to pay 5 dollars to “rent their desk”, this will teach students how to save and use their money wisely. If students do not have enough to “rent their desk” they can take a loan, once they have enough to pay it off they will be tasked to pay it off, plus a dollar for 'interest" before they will be able to spend anything at the class store. On Friday’s the classroom store will open up, this is a time where students are allowed to spend their money on different items, such as the treasure box. They can also decide to donate money to the class fund. Once the class fund reaches a certain amount students will get to vote on a classroom party.

Missing or incomplete work

• Students will have one free makeup assignment for any missing work each quarter, after that students will lose 5 points each day until it is turned in. 

• Incomplete or incorrect work will be returned to the student to recomplete and resubmit to the teacher.
