4th Grade LEAD/ADMIN:

Mrs. Young was born in Texas, later settling in Twin Falls, Idaho. She graduated from Twin Falls High School and went straight into a successful collegiate undertaking, graduating from College of Southern Idaho with her AA degree and then Idaho State University with her BA and teaching certificate.  She taught 2nd grade for four years at Challenger Christian Academy and then began undertaking graduate studies at Capella University where she successfully completed a Masters degree in Education Administration. Upon completing graduate school, she accepted a position with Post Falls Christian Academy as a Principal and Teacher. Ranging from High School guidance counselor and teaching, coupled with her additional Principal duties, Mrs. Young has changed the hearts of many children through her years of service.Mrs. Young is an ordained minister with the Evangelical Church Alliance (ECA). Currently, she serves as the Women's Pastor of CornerStone Christian Fellowship NW. Tenured as Principal and Kindergarten Teacher, she offers 26 years of experience and wisdom that is unmatched within regional educational offerings.

 

Mrs. Young is the crucial beginning of an educational model whereby students are challenged both spiritually and academically, setting the early foundation for a strong Christian education.In addition, Mrs. Young graduated with a second Masters degree through Liberty University, honored with a Suma Cum Laude in Teaching and Learning – Early Childhood. She married Mr. Young on the playground during a scheduled “fire drill” and has been smiling ever since. As a member of CornerStone Christian Ministries, she meets regularly for Bible study, prayer, and worship with their women's group.  Among her many talents, Mrs. Young is responsible for our drama programs including directing, orchestrating, and the creation of all our costumes and sets!She enjoys the great outdoors, gardening, target shooting, and singing to our Lord!  She stays active with their critters - horses, donkeys, dogs, and a sheep named Kevin.  Her favorite scripture verse is Matt 25:21‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’-Matt. 25:21
