Mr. Young was born in Long Beach, California, and moved to Spokane, Washington, at an early age. He graduated from Mead High School in 1986, later attending Whitworth College (now Whitworth University). In 2007, Mr. Young was approached by the owners of Challenger Christian Academy (formerly known as Post Falls Christian Academy) about acquiring and stewarding the school. After prayer and consideration, Mr. Young answered God’s call to service. On May 8th, 2008, CornerStone Christian Academy became official and a new ministry began. Later that September at the opening of the new school, Mr. Young married his wife, Kimberly Nicole, on the playground, in front of our Lord and the entire school! He has one daughter, five dogs...including one named Harley!

Mr. Young is an ordained minister through the Evangelical Church Alliance where his wife Kimberly is also an ordained minister. He holds a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies (Suma Cum Laude) with cognates in Religion & Business Administration, and an A.A. in Religion (with Honors) from Liberty University, as well as a Biblical Counseling certificate from Light University. He serves as our on-site Pastor (Chaplain), Administrator, Middle School Teacher, and lead-steward of our Lord’s school. Mr. Young recently served as a Pastor at Light & Life Christian Fellowship in Post Falls, including service as youth pastor leading the STRETCH program (Serving-Training-Reaching-Edifying-Teaching-Christlike-Holiness). He enjoys everything Israel, sports, target shooting, his orchard, and time with his family. Mr. Young is also known for collecting (and giving) Bibles! His favorite Scripture reference is Romans 8:38-39
